During our time on the road, I created a diary of paintings. I painted one painting a day for a month. This diary recorded the places we had gone during our travels in the van through California, Oregon, Colorado, and Utah. Gouache was the perfect art medium to use on the road! All original paintings and prints of original paintings are now available for sale on http://www.etsy.com/shop/peakandbirchdesigns It was amazing how the colors, shapes, and textures changed as we traveled through each state. Just by looking at the color palette, you can determine the location of the painting. I hope to continue this type of visual diary!
